Terms of Service

Welcome to Joust. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Prepdex Holdings LLC (“Joust,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of California, with respect to your use of the Joust application, website at getjoust.app, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. About Joust

Joust is a tracking tool for peptide and compound protocols. It performs calculations (reconstitution math, dose volumes, beyond-use date tracking, inventory math, schedule projections) and lets users log doses, track vials, and record bloodwork values.

Joust does not provide medical advice. Joust does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. Joust does not recommend doses, prescribe protocols, suggest therapeutic interventions, or offer clinical guidance. The calculations Joust performs are based on inputs you provide, and the correctness of those inputs is your responsibility.

If you are using compounded medications, prescription drugs, or any substances that affect your health, you should be doing so under the supervision of a qualified healthcare provider. Joust is a record-keeping and math tool, not a substitute for professional medical care.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will terminate the account and delete associated data.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for:

  • The accuracy of the information you provide when creating your account
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Any data you enter into the Service

You agree to notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Joust uses client-side encryption to protect your tracked health data (described further in our Privacy Policy). One consequence of this architecture is that Joust cannot recover your encrypted data if you lose access to your account credentials. This is a deliberate design choice that protects your privacy but places responsibility on you to maintain access to your account.

4. Subscriptions and Payment

4.1 Subscription Plans

Joust is offered on a subscription basis. The current price is $12.99 per month, billed monthly in advance, beginning at the end of any free trial period offered to you.

We may change subscription pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect your current billing cycle but will apply to subsequent billing cycles. We will provide at least 30 days’ notice before any price change affects you.

4.2 Free Trial

If a free trial is offered to you, you will not be charged during the trial period. At the end of the trial period, your subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged $12.99 per month unless you cancel before the trial ends.

4.3 Automatic Renewal

Your subscription automatically renews each month until you cancel. Each month, you will be charged the then-current subscription price for the next month of service.

You can cancel auto-renewal at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at support@getjoust.app. If you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which it will not renew.

We will send a reminder email before charging your renewal each month, except for shorter billing intervals where law does not require advance notice.

4.4 Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By providing payment information, you authorize us (through Stripe) to charge your selected payment method according to the terms of your subscription. We do not store your full payment card details; Stripe handles all payment data in accordance with PCI DSS standards.

4.5 Refunds

You may request a full refund within 7 days of your initial subscription purchase by contacting support@getjoust.app. After 7 days, subscription fees are non-refundable, but you may cancel auto-renewal at any time to prevent future charges.

If you subscribe through the Apple App Store, Apple’s refund policies apply to those purchases and you must request refunds through Apple, not through us.

4.6 Taxes

You are responsible for any sales tax, value-added tax (VAT), or other taxes applicable to your subscription. Where required by law, we will collect and remit such taxes.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to harm yourself or others
  • Use the Service in violation of any law or regulation
  • Use the Service to track substances for purposes that violate applicable laws in your jurisdiction
  • Share your account with others or allow multiple individuals to use a single account
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
  • Use automated tools to scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Service
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Interfere with the operation of the Service or the experience of other users
  • Use the Service to develop competing products or services

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Your Data

You retain ownership of the data you enter into the Service (“Your Data”). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process Your Data solely to provide the Service to you.

Joust uses client-side encryption for your tracked health data (compounds, doses, bloodwork, vials, and related fields). This means Joust cannot read this data on our servers — we receive and store it as encrypted ciphertext only. Detailed information about what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it is in our Privacy Policy.

You may export or delete Your Data at any time through the Service. Account deletion permanently removes Your Data from our systems.

7. Educational Content

The Joust website and app may contain articles, calculators, and other educational content about peptides, reconstitution, beyond-use dating, and related topics (“Educational Content”).

Educational Content is provided for informational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice, professional advice, or recommendations specific to your situation. Educational Content describes general principles, cites publicly available regulatory references (such as FDA product labels), and explains math. It does not tell you what to take, how much, or whether any compound is appropriate for you.

You are responsible for verifying any information you rely on with qualified professionals.

8. No Medical Advice; Assumption of Risk

The Service is a math and tracking tool. It is not:

  • A medical device
  • A pharmacy or dispenser
  • A prescriber or telehealth provider
  • A substitute for professional medical care
  • A source of medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment

You assume all risk associated with the substances you choose to use and the protocols you choose to follow. Joust performs calculations based on inputs you provide; if your inputs are wrong, the outputs will be wrong. You are responsible for verifying calculations, reading labels, and following the guidance of your healthcare provider.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including software, design, content, and trademarks, is owned by Joust and its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited license to use the Service as intended.

The Joust name, logo, and brand are trademarks of Prepdex Holdings LLC.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers including but not limited to:

  • Supabase (backend infrastructure)
  • Stripe (payment processing)
  • Apple (App Store distribution and in-app purchases, where applicable)
  • Netlify (web hosting)
  • Analytics and error-monitoring services (described in our Privacy Policy)

These providers have their own terms and privacy policies. Your use of the Service may also be subject to those terms.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure
  • Calculations performed by the Service will be appropriate for any particular medical purpose
  • The Service will meet your specific requirements

Joust performs arithmetic. The correctness of the arithmetic depends on the correctness of the inputs. We do not warrant that you have entered correct inputs.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JOUST AND PREPDEX HOLDINGS LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) $100 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or damages, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Joust, Prepdex Holdings LLC, and our officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any law or regulation
  • Your violation of the rights of any third party
  • Substances you choose to acquire, possess, or use

14. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time through the Service or by contacting us.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or for any other reason with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, and Your Data will be deleted from our systems in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) will survive.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and post the updated Terms on our website. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.

Your continued use of the Service after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service and may cancel your subscription.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in Orange County, California, or by video conference if mutually agreed.

You and we agree that any arbitration shall be conducted on an individual basis only. Class arbitrations and class actions are not permitted.

You may opt out of this arbitration clause within 30 days of accepting these Terms by sending written notice to support@getjoust.app with the subject “Arbitration Opt-Out.” If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.

17. International Users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you are responsible for compliance with local laws.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with specific data protection laws, additional rights are described in our Privacy Policy.

18. Miscellaneous

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other documents incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be considered a waiver.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Force majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
