Help with Joust
Joust tracks peptides, GLP-1s, TRT, and other self-directed protocols — doses, vials, bloodwork, the whole timeline — encrypted on your device with a key only you hold. If something isn't working, or you have a question, we're a real email away.
Email us
The fastest way to get help is to email support@getjoust.app. Tell us what you were doing, what you expected, and what actually happened. If you can include your device model and iOS version, that helps us track bugs faster.
We aim to respond within a couple of business days. There's no chatbot in front of us — a real person reads every message.
Frequently asked questions
What does Joust do?
Joust is a tracking app for people running peptide, GLP-1, TRT, and similar self-directed protocols. It logs every dose, tracks vial inventory and beyond-use dates, calculates reconstitution math, pulls in bloodwork from Quest or LabCorp PDFs, and reads vitals from Apple Health — all on one timeline with your protocol.
How does the encryption actually work?
Your protocol data — compounds, doses, schedules, bloodwork, photos — is encrypted on your device before it ever leaves it. Joust's servers store ciphertext we can't read. Sign-in (with Apple or Google) only proves your identity; the key that decrypts your data is held in your iOS Keychain and synced privately through iCloud Keychain. A 24-word recovery phrase is your independent backstop. For the full plain-English version, see the Privacy & Security page linked below.
How does the free trial and subscription work?
Joust offers a free 30-day trial with no payment method required at signup. Everything is included during the trial. After 30 days, if you haven't subscribed, the app moves to read-only mode — you can still view your saved data and health reports, and you can subscribe at any time to resume logging. Subscriptions are billed by Apple through the App Store; manage them in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
How do I import bloodwork?
From the Bloodwork screen, choose Import and pick a Quest or LabCorp PDF on your device. The PDF is parsed entirely on your device — values are extracted locally, encrypted with your key, and saved. The PDF itself is never uploaded to our servers or sent to any third party. After import, you can review the extracted markers, adjust anything that didn't parse cleanly, and save them to your timeline.
I lost access to my account. Can you recover my data?
Because your data is encrypted with a key we don't hold, recovery has to go through one of the paths that has the key: a device that already has your custody key (most often a previous iPhone with iCloud Keychain), or your 24-word recovery phrase. If neither is available, we can't decrypt your data on your behalf — that's the same reason no one else can. We'll still help you do everything that doesn't require decryption (account deletion, subscription support, etc.).
How do I contact support?
Email support@getjoust.app and tell us what's going on. We read every message. If you're reporting a bug, the more detail the better — what you were doing, what you expected, what happened. Include your device model and iOS version if it's relevant. We aim to respond within a couple of business days.
