How the trial works
30 days free, no payment method required at signup. You’ll see a reminder a few days before your trial ends. You can subscribe before or after the trial expires. If you don’t subscribe, your data stays in your account — you can return and subscribe later.
Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Creator offer codes redeem through the App Store on iPhone. On the web, arriving via a creator’s link applies the discount at checkout.
Frequently asked questions
What does the trial include?
The full 30-day trial includes everything in the paid plan. No features are gated during the trial. After 30 days, if you haven’t subscribed, the app reverts to read-only mode — you can still view your data and health reports, and resume by subscribing.
Do I need to enter a payment method to start?
No. The trial is free and doesn’t require a credit card. You’ll only enter payment details when you decide to subscribe, either before or after your trial ends.
What happens to my data if I don’t subscribe?
Your data stays in your account, encrypted. The app moves to read-only mode — you can view your saved data and health reports, but you can’t log new doses, import new bloodwork, or modify existing protocols until you subscribe. We never delete your data without your explicit request.
Can I switch between monthly and annual?
Yes. You can switch billing at any time from your subscription settings. Switching mid-cycle prorates the difference.
How do creator codes work?
Some creators and coaches share codes that unlock a discount on Joust. On iPhone, redeem the code through the App Store. On the web, codes apply automatically when you arrive via a creator’s link (getjoust.app/c/<code>) and discount the annual plan at checkout. Once your subscription starts, Joust pays the referring creator a commission on subscriptions originated through their code.
Is my data really encrypted?
Yes. Compound, dose, bloodwork, and protocol data is encrypted on your device using a master key derived from your password. Joust’s servers store only the encrypted ciphertext; we cannot read your data even with full database access. The tradeoff: if you forget your recovery phrase, we literally cannot restore your data.
Do you offer refunds?
If you subscribe and decide within 14 days that Joust isn’t right for you, reply to the welcome email and we’ll refund your most recent payment. After 14 days, refunds are evaluated case by case.
